  2.                     I take it you need help with Zdoor...
  3.  
  4. Zdoor has two menus available...the Main Menu and the Files Menu.  Help for
  5. both menus follows.
  6.  
  7. The following commands are available from the Main Menu:
  8.  
  9. A)bandon  - Leave the conference you are in and return to the main message
  10.             section.  This change will carry over to PCB when you exit the
  11.             door.
  12. D)ownload - Download a file using the currently selected transfer protocol
  13.             (see the (T) command).  You will be prompted for the filename
  14.             to download.
  15. F)iles    - Switch to the Files Menu.  From this menu, you can select a file
  16.             to download, examine the contents of an archive, read files
  17.             within an archive, and extract one or more files from an archive
  18.             for download.
  19. G)oodbye  - Hang up.  Terminate connection with the BBS.
  20. H)elp     - Displays this help file.
  21. J)oin     - Join one of the PCB conferences to which you have admittance.
  22.             This change will carry over to PCB when you exit the door.
  23.             Conference file directories become active when you join a
  24.             conference.
  25. L)ocate   - Find a given file on the board.  Full wildcarding is accepted.
  26. MAIL      - Executes a mail scan in which unread messages are compressed and
  27.             placed in an archive for downloading.  Will use your 'Conference
  28.             Scan' default, or allow you to change which conferences are
  29.             scanned.
  30. MARK      - Tags a file for download.  At the main prompt, requests the file
  31.             names(s) to be tagged.  While viewing an archive, tags that file.
  32.             At a MORE: prompt during a F, N, L, or Z scan, requests the file
  33.             name(s) to be tagged.  MARKed files can be C)leared or L)isted
  34.             from the MARK command prompt.
  35. M)ode     - Select ANSI graphics or nongraphics mode. This change will carry
  36.             over to PCB when you exit the door.
  37. N)ew      - Scans for files added to the system since a given date.  The date
  38.             of your last scan is the default.
  39. O)perator - Beeps the operator for 30 seconds.
  40. Q)uit     - Exit from ZDoor and return to PCBoard.
  41. R)eset    - Allows you to reset your last message read pointers (for the
  42.             conferences and the main board).  Used prior to a MAIL scan to
  43.             include messages which may have already been read.
  44. T)ransfer - Set the protocol for file transfers.  Default protocol is Zmodem.
  45.             You can select true YModem Batch or, if you have a MNP reliable
  46.             connect, YmodemG Batch.
  47. U)pload   - Begin to upload a file using the currently selected transfer
  48.             protocol.
  49. V)iew     - Examine your individual PCBoard statistics.
  50. X)pert    - Toggle the verbose menus on and off.  If you needed this help
  51.             screen, we recommend that you turn the menus on until you are
  52.             familiar with ZDoor.
  53. Z)ippy    - Fast scan through files for a given string.  For example, Z MT2
  54.             will locate all files whose name or descriptions contain the
  55.             string "MT2".

  57. The following commands are available from the Files Menu:

  59. D)ownload - Download a file using the currently selected transfer protocol
  60.             (see the (T) command).  If you have selected an archive file with
  61.             the (S) command (see below), that file will be downloaded.
  62.             Otherwise, youwill be prompted for the filename.
  63. L)ist     - Display a list of the file directories available on the BBS.
  64. #)        - Typing in the number of a file directory will cause the contents
  65.             of that directory to be displayed to the screen.
  66. R)ead     - Read one or more files within a selected archive file.  Wildcards
  67.             are supported.  This command will display text files within an
  68.             archive.
  69. E)xtract  - Choose one or more members of an archive file that are to be
  70.             extracted to a temporary archive file for downloading.
  71. H)elp     - Displays this help file.
  72. S)elect   - Choose an archive file for further processing (downloading,
  73.             listing, or reading a file within).
  74. V)erbose  - Display a verbose listing of the files contained in the archive
  75.             file that has been selected with the (S) command.
  76. X)pert    - Toggle the verbose menus on and off.  If you needed this help
  77.             screen, we recommend that you turn the menus on until you are
  78.             familiar with ZDoor.

  80. A carriage return at the Files Menu prompt will return you to the Main Menu.

  82. On any of the menus, commands may be stacked.  For example, to select the
  83. YmodemG transfer protocol, you could enter the command "T G".  To scan for all
  84. new files in the upload directory which have been added since your last scan,
  85. you could enter the command "N S U".  To do a mail scan on your default scan
  86. conferences, the command would be "MAIL D".

  88. Text entry can be aborted by ^X or ^K, which return you to the Zdoor prompt.
